The market town of March has a current population of about 19,150 plus surrounding villages, and lies 19 miles east of Peterborough, 20 miles north-east of Huntingdon, 12 miles south of Wisbech and 25 miles south-west of Kings Lynn. March lies on the A141 Fen Link road, which has been much improved in recent years. The town is an important centre in the Fenland area.
